Why don’t F1 drivers do doughnuts when they win?

The teams are racing to secure maximum points, for the Constructor Title and the Driver Title, over the course of the season and they have a lot of restrictions, including the cost cap and limitations on components.

So with a Power Unit costing in excess of $10.0m, they simply cannot afford to overstress it and compromise the rest of the season. 

On occasion, you will see the driver’s given permission to let rip at the end of the season. Like at Abu Dhabi in 2019 below…
