Third Driver

The third driverOK, so we all know what the driver is, right. I've always liked the description that F1 drivers are like... There's more... is better described as the test driver. Teams utilise them to help the regular drivers and engineers improve the car. Occasionally, a third driver may take charge of a test day or Friday practice to help tune the car.

Demonstration days or other promotional events will often fall to the third driver.
