Safety Car Ending

The safety car is deployed to take control of the field while the marshals deal with an incident on track. Once the incident is cleared the safety car will return to the pits and the cars will resume racing.

Once the all-clear is given, race control will issue the advice “safety car ending this lap”, the safety car will divert into the pits and the lead car will take control of the restart. Once the lights are green he will determine when the race resumes. This must happen before the start-finish line and no car may pass until the race has resumed.
