Reverse Engineering

Reverse engineering is a term given to one team directly copying another team’s technology, which is not allowed.

While teams will always work in the direction of innovations spotted on other cars, they are not allowed to make a carbon copy through plans, photos or scanning the part. They must be able to demonstrate the design and development process taken to get to the part being on the car.
