Rake : formula1.com

Rake refers to the angle of an F1 car when viewed side on. A high-rake car is created by raising rear ride height in relation to front ride height, effectively setting the car up with an upward slope front-to-rear.

Rake helps the aerodynamic performance of the car work efficiently, integral to the efficiency of the car’s underside and diffuser; too steep or too shallow and the underbody will become less efficient aerodynamically. Teams may adjust the car’s rake to suit a track for an emphasis on High Downforce or High Speed.
