Lift and coast

Lift and Coast
Lift and Coast : racer.com

Lift and coast is a technique drivers use to save fuel, cool breaks and preserve the tyres.

As they approach the corner, they take their foot off the accelerator earlier and coast into the corner before braking, allowing the aero to slow the car. Done well, this technique preserves the car’s performance while minimising the loss of lap-time

There is a great explanation on youtube – here

And a great podcast with the same name – Lift and Coast
