At the start of the race, the cars form a grid from the pole position on the start line. The positions are marked with a grid box and the cars must not be forward of their line or cross their line before the lights go out.

Due to the position of the driver in the car and the inability to see where the front wheel is positioned, a yellow line has been extended out of the grid box as a visual aid.
