Race Engineers are a team of experts who manage all aspects of the race and communicate with the driverOK, so we all know what the driver is, right. I've always liked the description that F1 drivers are like... There's more... when they are on track.
There are different types of engineers: track, data, systems, electronics, strategy, and reliability… Their role is to ensure that every detail is planned before a race and respond to situations that arise during the race in order to get the car to the finish line in the shortest time possible.
After the race, they debrief and start all over again, looking to maximise performance at the next race.
