OK, so we all know what the driver is, right. I've always liked the description that F1 drivers are like... There's more... is said to “close the door” it means he has manoeuvred to prevent the challenging driver from gaining a position.

In formula 1, a corner is much more than a turn on the track, it is a considered and deliberate... There's more.... But if the challenger does not take the advantage, the defending driver will not leave it open any longer than he needs to.
