Kevin Magnussen (No 20) is a Danish-born F1 driver contracted to Haas F1 Team in 2023.

A Mclaren development driver, Magnussen tested for the team in 2012 and & 2013, securing him a seat in the Mclaren-Mercedes for the 2014 season. Where he put the car in the second row of the grid and then the podium at his Albert Park debut.

In 2016 he drove for Renault and turned down a 2017 contract in favour of Haas, where he spent the next four years. He was dropped for the 2021 season in favour of Mick Schumacker and Nikita Mazepin, who were both said to be paid drivers. Nikitas’ father’s business, Uralkali, become the principal sponsor.

The travesty of the Ukrainian war had a lucky spinoff for Magnussen when the FIA and Liberty ruled the Russian driver out of the completion. Magnussen stepped backing the car and immediately set a bar above Schumacker. In 2023, he drives alongside Nico Hulkenberg
